LITHONIA, Ga. (AP) - The senior pastor of the suburban Atlanta
church where Coretta Scott King is being remembered says "we are
better because she was here."
Bishop Eddie Long of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church has
told the estimated 10,000 worshipers on hand for her funeral
that the "dream is still alive."
President Bush and former presidents Bush, Clinton and Carter
are among dignitaries on the podium behind King's casket, which is
adorned in red and white flowers.
The crowd applauded as the leaders entered the church. The funeral is taking place at the church were King's daughter, Bernice, is a minister.
