GAINESVILLE, Tex. -- A heated argument landed one Cooke County man behind bars over the weekend.

Police say it happened at the Hubcaps Bar & Grill in the 300 block of North Interstate 35 early Saturday morning. They say 27-year-old Benjamin Gonzales hit 22-year-old Ramiro Franco in the head with a glass bottle.

Franco was treated on site. Gonzales was taken to the hospital, and then booked into the Cooke County Jail.

Gonzales faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. His bond is set at $30,000.

Why would someone commit slander about a business? Anonymous? Hubcaps is a respectful bar and grill and has less fights than most due to the owners DO NOT tolerate this behavior. We have great customers that support us and occasionally BAD customer that are not welcomed and if they act like idiots they will be barred.

Anyone who goes to Hubcaps knows to expect a fight, that is all that happens there. It is a hole in the wall bar full of gang members and rednecks. It doesn't help that their bouncers do nothing until it is to late, I think they enjoy watching the fights before they split them up. It should be closed down.

And this is news because??? There's fights in every bar on that serves alcohol, sometimes much worse than this one. Just ask the PD of any town that has bars in them. Must have been a slow news day...
