BONHAM, Tex. -- A major battle has just ended in Bonham, Texas, with area residents rolling up their sleeves and getting involved. But this annual battle is more of a friendly competition between the Bonham Fire and Police Departments.
The real winner is the Texoma Regional Blood Center. So far, 130 people have donated blood in the name of either the police or fire department, which is great news, especially during the summer.
"It’s a bit slow, and a lot of times people are on vacation and have sports they engage in, so our donation time is always done," Lori Bevel at the Texoma Blood Center says.
The winning department will be announced on Monday.
