FEMA Sets Up Temporary Shop in Ardmore

2-12-06 – FEMA representatives will be available to answer questions at the Lowes home improvement store in Ardmore through Thursday.

Nearly 1,000 buildings have been destroyed by recent grassfires in Oklahoma and starting Sunday, representatives will be available to answer resident’s questions about coverage and safety during a busy fire season.

This is one of four outreach programs underway in Oklahoma. FEMA representatives say they want residents be prepared for the possibility of more fires.

This is the first time FEMA has organized an outreach program for wildfires.

Residents can pickup brochures and find out more about how to register for assistance.

FEMA will have a table set up at the Lowes in Ardmore everyday from 8am to 8pm – through Thursday.
