Defense Begins in Severed Arms Trial

McKINNEY, Texas (AP) - Prosecutors rested today in the trial of
a Plano woman accused of killing her baby by cutting off the girl's
arms.

The prosecution introduced autopsy photos before resting in the
Dena Schlosser capital murder trial. She's pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity.

Prosecutors are not seeking the death penalty in the trial over the November 2004 death of ten-month-old Margaret Schlosser.

Earlier, Schlosser's estranged husband testified his wife said she wanted to "give the baby to God" about one week before the child was killed.

John Schlosser has filed for divorce.
