2/14/06 - An accused counterfeiter in Texoma may have eaten the evidence.
Monday night Madill police stopped Alicia Smith and Kevin Kirkham off Highway 70.
Kingston police reported the two Tishomingo residents had tried to pass a counterfeit $100 bill earlier, but police say Smith ate the evidence.
Still, they did figure out the pair had been passing dozens of other fake bills at casinos all over the area.
Patrolman Daniel King with Madill PD says, "It's good to know were getting then off the streets and getting the money out of the circulation.”
Tishomingo police searched the suspect’s home last night as well. Inside they found nine fake counterfeit checks along with meth and paraphernalia.
