BRYAN COUNTY, Okla. -- One of two escaped inmates from Mack Alford Correctional Center in Stringtown, Oklahoma, is back behind bars.

Department of Corrections officers arrested 52-year-old Jimmy Penn Thursday night in Bryan County. Penn was captured around 11:10 around the railroad crossing on Lemman Hill Road in Colbert. Authorities say a Department of Corrections officer spotted him, caught up to him, and brought him into custody.

Authorities say they received a tip that led them to the area.

Penn was serving a 20 year sentence on drug charges.

He was taken back to the segregated housing unit at the McAlford Correctional Center.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the Bryan County Sheriff's Office, and the Colbert Police Department all assisted.

Officials are still searching the area for 44-year-old Quentin Battle. Both men escaped Tuesday night from the minimal security unit in Stringtown.

Way to go Colbert and Calera. I cant belive that Sharon Kay let her own personal army(Colbert PD)out from underneath her long enough to do any crime fighting!

He made it through Calera's Speed Trap becaue he was not North Bound with Texas Tag's, but here in Colbert, we Speed-Trap both north & south and we got him.. . . . I see where the BCSO stated on the news that "They had abonded the search, and was waiting on citizens tips" (The first tip may be a 911 call where the escapee has hurt someone), standard operating procedure for Sheriff Sturch; while you are still driving the train, pack your stuff and go home; before the voters send you: Oh take your Hot-Rod car and Airplanes with you, we can't afford them

I am sure glad that they caught him before he got to Sherman. He looks so much like the Guys in Sherman, they would never have a chance of finding him.

Well Boss-of-Da-Jail is right, ODOC is the one that caught him, and Sturch is trying to take credit. Good job ODOC

Boss, your constant comments about BCSO is a joke! You sound like either your a former deputy that was fired, or hoping to get a job if you can win an election. In any case your a moron. Good Job to ALL LEO's involved!

Yup; Great Job Oklahoma Department of Corrections, The Bryan County Sheriff had nothing to do with locating one of the two Prisoners. So, prase Colbert Pd, for being close by to assist: All Sheriff Sturch did was jump on TV and took credit for something he did not do, The ODOC used tracking dogs; instead of using the Bryan County Sheriff's Heat Seeking, Man Hunting Air-Force, that Bryan County Can't Afford.

Excellent job OHP, Bryan County, and Colbert. The residents of Bryan County should thank you!
