Screwdriver Robbery in Denison

3-13-06 - Denison Police are searching for a man accused of robbing a convenience store clerk with a screwdriver. The incident occured early Sunday morning at the EZ Mart on South Austin Street.

The clerk says a man came into the store and grabbed his shirt and demanded money. He told the clerk he had a friend in the car with a gun. When the clerk would not give the money to the robber, the suspect struck him in the face and grabbed the money himself and left the store.

The suspect is a black male and was last seen wearing a blue and black baseball cap with a white towel underneath. He has a thin build and is approximately 18-19 years old.
