Slight risk today for severe thunderstorm to develop where primary threats are hail up to golf ball size and winds up to 70mph. Time frame for these storms to possible pop up look to be around 4-5pm and will continue through the night.
3-18-06 – A major accident shut down north and south-bound lanes of Highway 11 in Grayson County Saturday evening. Five people were injured in the crash. Troopers say 17-year-old Bobbi Hood of Whitewright was driving south when her vehicle hydroplaned and slammed into the passenger side of a northbound pickup truck.
Hood was ejected from her vehicle. She was taken to a Dallas hospital with head injuries.
In the pickup, 52-year-old Peggy Stowers of Whitewright and three others, including two young children, were taken to Wilson N. Jones in Sherman.
The wreck happened around 6:30 p.m. and shut down Highway 11 between Sherman and Luella for an hour and a half.
