A&M Student Arrested on Child Porn Charges

3-27-06 - A Texas A&M student faces 17 counts of Internet child pornography charges after being arrested at his dormitory. 21-year old Corey Ryan Armstrong of Florida allegedly had illegal images of children on computers in his room.

An Internet service provider tipped investigators that Armstrong was posting child porn online. He was among three men arrested last week in separate investigations by the Texas attorney general's office. 34-year old Christopher Dean Henson of Childress is charged with three counts of possession of child pornography and two counts of promotion. 44-year old Thurman Sidney Hearn of Granite Shoals was also charged with possession and promotion.

Conviction on a charge of possession of child pornography carries a sentence of two to ten years in prison. Promotion carries a sentence up to 20 years behind bars.
