A woman who police say left two children alone in a vehicle in the parking lot of a club could face child-neglect charges.
Durant police Lt. Johnny Rutherford says the state Department of
Human Services will make a recommendation as to what action
authorities should take against 51-year-old Lillian Beville.
He said the state agency could recommened criminal charges be
filed or work out a parental treatment plan for Beville.
Police say a child-welfare worker spotted the 8- and 11-year-old
children in a car in the dark parking lot of Tiny's nightclub shortly after midnight Saturday. A police officer went inside the club to get Beville.
