3-30-06 - Flash flooding and some wind damage impacted parts of Texoma on Thursday night as severe storms rolled through the area. A metal barn has blown onto a pick-up truck on Addington Bend Road south of Thackerville. A barn has also collapsed southeast of Marietta.
In Sherman, serious flooding occured near the intersections of Highway 82 and Texoma Parkway, Loy Lake Road and Peyton, and US 75 at Travis. Several cars became partially submerged as waters quickly rose. A shopping center at Travis and 75 also suffered flooding damage. There are no reports of serious injuries.
Nearly every county in the area reported some hail - from pea-size up to golf ball size hail falling sporadically for several hours. Dozens of cars at Lawrence Marshall in Denison took a hit.
