ADA, Okla. -- A man who drove his pickup truck through the entrance of a southeast Oklahoma school has been found not guilty by reason of insanity by a Pontotoc County judge.

Richard Earl Melton was accused of driving into Vanoss High School, then backing up and driving into the building again, causing doors and walls to collapse, in December 2006. Classes were in session at the time, but no injuries were reported.

Melton had two teenage sons in the school at the time.

Melton now will be sent to a mental health facility where it will be determined if he needs permanent supervised care.

You people should be ashamed of yourselves. This man has kids that doesn't need to hear stupid people making stupid comments like this. This man really may have something wrong with him. You also want to talk about what he is wearing. We are not to judge anyone for anything. How would it make ya'll feel if someone talked about your family like that. Sometimes people can't help the way they look.

Insanity requires the inability to know right from wrong, like wearing overalls without a shirt

The man has been proven to be mentally ill and you put this picture on the web page and allow punks to post insensitive remarks about him. Where are your journalistic ethics and your sense of decency?
