A Moderate to Enhanced risk for severe storms has been issued for Texoma. Storms look to become strong to severe and will be firing up around 11am. Primary threats include heavy rainfall leading to flooding, large hail, damaging winds, and an isolated tornado is possible as well but chances aren't very high. 3-31-06 - Heavy rains may be to blame for a fatal accident south of Sherman Thursday night. 19-year old Melton Scribner of Sherman was killed when the car he was riding in ran off of Old Dorchester Road a struck a tree.
DPS says 19-year old Jayson Holloway, the driver, was driving too fast for the wet roadways and lost complete control on a curve. Holloway and his passenger, 17-year old Dustin Holloway were transported to the hospital for injuries.
