DENISON, Tex. -- The scaffolding is rising at the Texoma Summer Music Festival. Crews assembled the stage Thursday at the North Texas Regional Airport.
The three-day event starts Friday afternoon and features 25 bands and lots of other family fun, including rides for kids, a giant waterslide, food, and more.
Organizers are also holding a raffle with lots of prizes to benefit CASA, and the weather shouldn't be too bad either.
"I was really worried about that because we're either going to have a lot of rain or be really hot, and we lucked out and it's supposed to be in the low 90s all weekend and partly cloudy and a 20 percent chance of rain Saturday and Sunday and we're find with that. But we're going to have misting fans and misting tents and plenty of ways to keep cool out here too," organizer Josh Hansard says.
Presale tickets ends today, but you can buy tickets at the gate. Everything at the festival is cash only.
