SHERMAN, TX - Rubber ducks filled the Splash Park pool in Sherman Saturday all for a good cause and a local organization.

It was all part of the 14th annual Great Duck Race. About five-thousand ducks raced across the pool to the finish line and with a five dollar donation for each duck, that's a lot of money to help girls inc.

Lana Bernardin with Girls Inc. says it's great to see such a positive response from the community.

"Girls Inc. is a great program,” says Bernardin. When you bring your children to Girl's Inc., they're put in age groups, actually go through programming, educational programming throughout the summer, which is a key time to keep your education going."

The first place duck race winner took home a twenty-five-hundred-dollar gift certificate.
