4-13-06 - The owner of a major Denison employer is selling part of its business. On Thursday, Pennsylvania-based Alcoa announced plans to sell its home exteriors business.
The company operates five manufacturing facilities across the United States including the one in Denison. The CEO says the home exteriors business is successful but no longer fits its goals worldwide.
The more than 200 local workers should not panic yet; a company spokesman told First News that no employees should lose their jobs.
