4-16-05 - ORANJESTAD, Aruba (AP) - Aruban officials have confirmed an arrest in the case of a missing Alabama teen, but have released few other details.
It's been nearly a year since Natalee Holloway disappeared during her high school graduation trip. But a lawyer for a Dutch teen questioned in the case says he hopes the new arrest will bring some answers -- and the sooner, the better.
The attorney for Joran van der Sloot, who was arrested and released last year, says his client has maintained his innocence "from the beginning." The lawyer adds that he doesn't know the name of the arrested suspect, who has been officially identified only by the initials "G.V.C."
Holloway was last seen leaving a bar with van der Sloot and two brothers from Suriname.
