Arrest Made in Home Invasion Case

4-20-06 - Durant Police have made an arrest in the home invasion case reported on First News Monday and are asking for the public’s help in finding the other suspect.

Durant Police Department says after an investigation questioning the neighbors they have one of the men who broke into a home Monday morning, but now their attention turns to find the other man involved; a man they say could be dangerous.

Wednesday around 6:00 p.m. police arrested 17-year old Richard Kramer and now they are searching for Randal Nation. After pending investigation warrants police went to the University Arms Apartments looking for the two men, but neither was there. They questioned neighbors and during the questioning a car pulled up with Kramer inside. Kramer was taken to the Bryan County Jail.

Police say they are confident he is one of the men who took several items from the house on Worley Street and did so while the man who lives at the home watched while acting like he was asleep. The same man says one of the suspects pointed at gun at him and that is why Nation should be considered armed and is possibly on the run.

The case is still under investigation to find out if there are any more people involved. Nation is believed to be driving a teal green four door Oldsmobile Alero with damage on the side.
