Granddaughter Arrested in Elderly Beating

4-21-06 - Two weeks ago an elderly Sherman man was beat up and robbed in his own home. Friday police obtained four suspects, including the man’s granddaughter.

18-year old Krystin Chevers has been charged with aggravated robbery. Police believe she may have tipped off the 20-year old male who forced his way into the 80-year old man’s home and beat him up while two other males ransacked the place and stole his truck. The victim is still recovering from surgery.

Two of the male suspects are in the Grayson County Jail on unrelated charges. The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating.
