4-23-06 – A man injured in an accident that shut down Highway 75 Saturday afternoon died at the hospital overnight. The wreck happened in the northbound lanes at Loy Lake Road in Sherman around 12:15 p.m.
Witnesses told police a man on a motorcycle lost control of his bike and then wrecked.
The northbound lanes of 75 were shut down while a medical helicopter landed on the highway. The victim, a Denton man, was flown to Parkland Hospital in Dallas with serious head injuries. His name has not been released.
Police shut down all but one lane of the highway for more than an hour and a half after the wreck so officers could investigate.
