Flash Flood Watches are posted through Monday morning for all of Texoma. The most concentrated rainfall is expected Saturday night into Sunday. Please be alert to floodwaters, washed out roads and rising creeks.
4-30-06 – Police say a traffic jam and wreck on Highway 75 started as a domestic dispute. Southbound Highway 75 was shut down to one lane Sunday afternoon, near the Loy Lake exit around 4 p.m.
Police on the scene say a man spotted his wife in a pickup with another man. That’s when he allegedly started chasing the truck south on Highway 75 at a high rate of speed, eventually pulling in front of the truck and slamming on the brakes.
The vehicles collided and police say the suspect got out of his vehicle and punched the other driver. Witnesses stopped their cars along the highway to call for help.
No serious injuries were reported, but one man was taken to the Grayson County Jail.
Police say 31-year-old Eligio Govea faces aggravated assault charges.
