BONHAM, Tex. -- A church in Bonham is helping with back to school with what they call a “kids’ closet.” The closet is actually a house that was donated by a church member from First Baptist Church in Bonham.

It's known as the Kids’ Closet, and it is full of donated items from the community year round. Volunteers say they have been busy during the past three days. More than 300 children received clothes, shoes, and undergarments.

“Children are our gift and our future and we have to take care of all of them the best we can. It's our responsibility. That's what we are charged with from our Savior and, that's why we do it," one official told us.

While Thursday was the last day for back-to-school shopping at the Kids’ Closet, it is still open every Thursday from 11 to 1 all year in Bonham.
