People of all denominations gathered for mediation and fellowship. Members of the Texas National Guard from Denison presented the colors.
Back in 1952, President Harry Truman signed a bill proclaiming National Day of Prayer into a law. Since then, the 1st Thursday of May people of all faiths join together and pray.
