5-9-06 - Durant police are investigating a case of threatening phone calls combined with two recent burglaries. Police say someone has called a woman making threats, and her home was burglarized twice in two weeks.
Monday, the woman noticed the back door of her home off North 12th Street had been broken in and a cup full of a hundred dollars in spare change was gone.
Police say someone has been calling her cell phone harassing her, saying they know where she lives.
Her husband bought a handgun to protect her, but this time around, the gun was stolen from under a bed.
Just two weeks ago, thieves stole 700 dollars.
