BONHAM, Tex. -- While Texoma did not see much rain from Gustav, or many evacuees in the shelters, officials at a Bonham shelter say they are ready for any future evacuees.

Darrell Brewer with Fannin County Emergency Management said the lines of communication were far from organized after Hurricane Gustav.

"You’re all excited and pumped and the adrenaline is flowing when you’re getting ready and then you get a call you can stand down a little bit. Then you get a call to come and get ready, so it was a real roller coaster."

The armory in Bonham received no evacuees, although they had about 100 beds set up, just in case. They were inactive for awhile because of a gas leak, but everything is now repaired.

They will keep the beds and shelter set up for possible evacuees with the upcoming hurricanes.
