5-13-06 – Volunteer firefighters from seven local departments spent their Saturday learning about new life saving techniques. About 50 firefighters attended a day-long training session coordinated by State Farm Insurance at the Whitesboro Community Center.
Instructors from a Houston-based non-profit group,” Scene of the Accident,” trained firefighters in how to safely work with new automotive technology like hybrid vehicles.
Firefighters practiced with the Jaws of Life and other extrication techniques. The training was free for local firefighters.
