5-21-06 - OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The state of Oklahoma will spend an estimated 20 to 25 percent more for fuel in the upcoming fiscal year.
Those estimates are included in budget requests for the 2007 fiscal year, which begins July 1. This is the last week of the regular session for state lawmakers. However, no budget agreement is in place.
State officials say if fuel prices rise more than estimates, they'll have to watch spending in other areas and cut back when possible.
