5-31-06- The fireworks display could be returning to Denison this year for the Fourth of July. Last year, the show was sidelined in favor of laser lights, but the city council will vote Monday to once again go with the fireworks.
Thousands of people packed Main Street last year, even though the traditional fireworks display didn't fly. The new artificial turf made Munson Stadium off limits for the annual show last year.
This year, the city will launch the fireworks behind Munson Stadium, but as always, any seat in the city is a good one. There will be entertainment set up on the football field.
The council will make the final vote on Monday, but the Mayor says he is confident the council will vote in favor of the fireworks.
