6-3-06 – An infant had to be rushed to the hospital Saturday afternoon after a near-drowning at a home in Fannin County.
The grandmother of the infant called 911 around 4 p.m. after a one-year-old girl, swimming in a pool, slipped off a floatation device.
The family told authorities the infant was just underwater a few seconds, but was unresponsive.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the infant was flown to a Dallas hospital in good condition.
