06-07-06 - A dog led a Grayson County Deputy to thousands of dollars worth of cocaine that was hidden in a spare tire. Tuesday night a deputy pulled over a car on Highway 75 near Highway 82 in Sherman.
The deputy’s drug dog, Axe pointed him to the trunk where a brown package was found that contained 2.8 lbs. cocaine, which carries a street value of $88,000. The driver was also carrying $1,300 cash in his pocket and he told deputies he had been shopping, but they were unable to fine any shopping bags in the vehicle.
29-year old Kelvin Ross of Tulsa was arrested and is being charged with possession of a controlled substance over 440 grams. His bond has been set at $50,000.
