SHERMAN, Tex-- A 20 year-old Sherman man, hit and killed while he was riding his bicycle will be remembered Wednesday night.
Derrick Sitton was killed yesterday as he pulled out of the Economy Inn parking lot and was struck by a car.

The manager at the Economy Inn tells us they'll hold a candlelight vigil for Sitton Wednesday night. Daphne Villareal says Sitton lived at the hotel and staff members considered him family.

The candlelight vigil is scheduled for 8:00 pm Wednesday, in front of the Economy Inn on Texoma Parkway in Sherman.

Villareal says Sitton's family has set up a memorial fund in his name at Landmark Bank. The Economy Inn staff have set up donation jars at several businesses around Sherman. Villareal says all the proceeds will go toward Sitton's funeral. Those arrangements are still pending.
