IDABEL, Okla. (AP) - The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says three people were killed and two others injured in a single-vehicle crash near Idabel in McCurtain County.
An OHP report says 24-year-old Jonny Ray Collum of Broken Bow; 12-year-old Devin Chesney of Idabel; and 24-year-old Kenneth Odell Gann of Heavener were dead at the scene of the crash on State Highway 3 about 11:30 a.m. Monday. The report says 10-year-old Sarah Lester of Idabel was flown to a Little Rock, Arkansas, hospital in critical condition and 30-year-old Natasha Gamble of Idabel was taken to a Texarkana, Texas, hospital in serious condition.
The report says the five were in a westbound vehicle driven by Collum when it went off the roadway and crashed broadside into a culvert.
The cause of the crash was not immediately determined.
