6-11-06 - HUGO, Okla. (AP) - About 900 bicyclists are expected to take off on a 400-mile journey today across Oklahoma. The riders are a part of the Oklahoma Free-Wheel 2006 challenge.
The expedition will last through Saturday, taking participants from Hugo, Oklahoma, to the finish line in Baxter Springs, Kansas.
Free Wheel Director Libby Statler says this year's route includes more hills.
She says the hilly terrain and the heat will make the journey more challenging, but not impossible.
Temperatures for the first few days of the journey could top out at 100 degrees.
