Southeastern Oklahoma State University is looking for a new fight song to go with its new mascot and will pay for the song.
Southeastern is changing its mascot from Savages to Savage Storm
to comply with an NCAA rule against mascots that have hostile
and abusive origins.
The school says Savage Storm refers to the strong storms in the
region and is offering a one-thousand dollar prize to the person
who comes up with a fight song to go with the mascot.
Lyrics and music should be submitted by July 20th.
