SHERMAN, Tex. -- With the political world looking toward Nashville for Tuesday night’s debate between Barack Obama and John McCain, Rashi Vats explains how this debate will be a little different than the last one.

Tuesday night's debate will have a different format, this time with questions from the public. The first presidential debate on September 26 focused on foreign policy and national security. This time around questions will be answered from the audience and from the Internet.

We went to find out what Texomans want to know.

"Their positions on healthcare. That would be good," Bob Mensor told us.

Elizabeth Bolson wants to know, "What's going to happen to the economy? Are the fat cats going to make it, or are the little people going to get the damage for it? Which way is it going to go?"

Jeremy Peterson was also concerned about the economy, "Mainly I want to know if they’re keeping their promises on what they want to do on economic development."

Hopefully those questions will be answered at the presidential debate Tuesday night.

How do we finish in Iraq? And if I understand you correctly, you want to keep wasting money and lives on a mistake until the people of a sovereign country subjugate to our authority? Also as far as I know its not against the law to be Muslim, nor that our President cannot be a Muslim. Which is all for not anyway because Obama is not a Muslim. But here would be my question to the two running. "Sir, we have heard a lot from George W Bush on how he is defending the American people, but what will you do to defend the Constitution of the United States as you will be swearing an oath to do so in the coming months."

Of course things were better before Bush, but what did Clinton have to deal with? Bush had to deal with 9/11 and he may not of handled it the best way. Well we know how Clinton would of handled that. Just like any other Democrat would tuck tail and run. I don't agree with Bush on alot of things and he has not done a good job these last 4 yrs but at least he stood up for America! Obama wants to pull eveyone out of Iraq and that will just be money lost that we have already paid and then it will be lives lost and money paid for nothing if we quit in the middle. We need to stay and finish what we started. Also, Why do we want a Musleum running out country? Have you people lost your dang minds? Who knows if McCain will make things better but at least our country will be ran by a man who is about this country and has served this country and loves and supports this country and is NOT MUSLEUM!! GOD HELP OUR COUNTRY!

You know what? McCain has my vote. Why? Because who wants to take a chance? Who wants to take a chance on someone who has such Anti-American qualitys. Yet he says he dont. I would too if I was running. Hes a slick talker like so many other people in this world was. McCain at least is a true American. He has his flaws. But Im an American and I want someone with American experience. Not someone from Africa raised the first part of his life my muslim teachings, had a party with Ayers, has a radical so called preacher preaching about hating white people and America. Geeez.. No wonder republican supporters are mad. It makes me mad to that such a person is running for President. Now I like Sen. Obama just fine as a person but not our President. If you want appointed judges that legislate from the bench, A corrupt administration and friends with no experience(Acorn with there foot in the door), Well i could go on. i would ask Obama how he would change things the way he wanted too in 4 years.

Come on. . . "Anti-Christ". . . really? Barack Obama will be our next President. Start getting used to it. The slander spread throughout this forum is much more unpatriotic than anything Barack Obama has ever said or done. Obama wants what is best for our nation. Go ahead and vote for your Republican candidate just because he's the Republican, but when you do, ask yourself what the Republican party has done for you lately. I'd bet you'll be hard pressed to think of anything positive. Then go back just a little further, like oh. . . 92-00. I bet at least 90% of you were better off in every way. I know my family was. You can't deny our pre-Bush national surplus. So make your blind choice feel more justified, call this genius of a man whatever you want. But know that he will win the election. He will lead this nation back to the respected position we once held around the world.

The poor get everything as they sit on their butts and have more kids and collect all the free stuff the middle man gets nothing cuz he makes to much for help but not enough to make ends meet and the rich have it all. I will say tho WHY DO YOU PEOPLE THINK OBAMA IS SO GREAT! The man does not solute or respect our flag or this Country for that matter. How sad is it that anyone who has lost a son,daughter,husband,wife, grandparent or any loved one fighting for this country would want someone like him to be President. He does not deserve it! McCain supporters can't STAND the fact that they have an erratic, weak candidate with ZERO plan, ZERO support from traditional conservatives and less-than-zero support from independents, so they have no choice but to invent ignorant, mean spirited, and false attacks that ALWAYS fall short of the truth. Sarah Palin gives speeches to the Alaskan Independence Party, to which her own husband is a member. This is the same party that wants to secede from the United States and has a self-proclaimed "America-hater" as a founder. Doesn't that make Palin, and subsequently McCain, "palling around with terrorists"?

I don't care for either candidate really. But I think Obama is going to win. I'm just ready for our country to change.....for the better. Get someone in there who will fight for ALL people, not just the rich ones.

Obama clearly beat McCain in last nights debate, he answered the majority of the questions directly where as McCain only answered the questions in a round about way on several issues. McCain still consistantly brings up points that are misleading towards Obama, even after Obama corrects him. Obama is showing he is after the real issues and McCain is trying to make him look bad, in my opinion it is working against him.

some people do indeed work regular hours and still cant make ends meet,the median income here is 30k and that is probably not from one income source.you are forgetting that on minimum wage you still have utilities,housing,car payments,etc so its not always easy. But luci like i told my family members that are also entrepreneurs, you can't keep good working people and expect excellence and pay them peanuts with no health insurance.I know for the small business its a challenge but someone has to make a living on both ends so its not so simple from both sides so i feel for both.

you can always go to factcheck.org to find out about the allegations that each candidate is spewing about each other. The questions we need to ask is about there positions on the topics that are going to affect us like the economy,health care,etc...

Martin, there is absolutely no logic in your comments. Do you feel that Republicans are the only ones who invest in the stock market? If so, then you are drastically wrong. Nearly all pension programs, TRS, 401 (k)...etc. are invested in the market. I have never voted for a Bush, and never will, (McBush included), yet my retirement depends on the market's performance. On top of that, I have other stocks and funds as well. When you wish something like that, you are literally wishing for a national downfall. Pretty darn stupid, if you ask me. In fact, you are wishing harm upon yourself, in the long run, when you want something like that to happen.

Amy, are you nuts? Nobody works 40 hours and are unable to buy groceries. Unless they're spending their checks on something else first. Beans and cornmeal are much higher these days, but you can still get enough to eat for several days at the cost of a couple hours of labor, even at minimum wage. Speaking of, check back the last time the economy nosedived, and how close it followed an increase in the minimum wage. The more government sticks its nose in, the worse it gets. This mess wasn't caused by a lack of regulation, it was caused by BAD regulations that prompted banks and the absurd Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to make BAD loans to BAD credit risks. The Congress helped enrich their friends at the pretense of helping poor people. And now the whole world's financial system is on the verge of collapse. Thanks Barney Frank and Christopher Dodd.

I for one hope the entire U.S. economy melts down and everyone loses all of their money in the stock market. I said when Bush was first elected president that people who voted for him were going to get what they deserve...and so many told me I was ..crazy So I want people to live with what they chose when they elected Bush both times. He carried OK & TX by a major percentage. I think it is really funny that all of these people are losing their life savings..I hope you stupid republicans in oklahoma have to work until your 100 and have NO social security or retirement to live on.

I would ask them both how they expect to fix the problem of Illegal Immigration. I would ask Obama how he can plan to nationalize helth care when they cannot even manage the VAs and about his associations with Bill Ayres, Rev. Wright and ACORN. I would ask McCain when he expects Iraq to begin paying some of the cost of this war. (McCain has been a maverick and gone against his party on many issues, but could not make much progress alone.)

I am one of those $250,000 "rich" people who pays almost half to government, then lost 25% of my retirement...which now puts me in the $40,000 income bracket after taxes...and I work 16 hrs a day 7 days a week to pay employees and work to provide for workers in 2 companies. It upsets me to work so hard for so little when so many wait for the guvmint check. I need more workers but can't risk not being able to pay the ones I have because of no money to expand...so I continue to work 8 days a week...and Obama wants to take more to pay the guvmint checks. Get a clue, people.

McCain should just stop trying to claim he is such a maverick and trying to distance himself from GWB. Anyone who follows politics knows that he does indeed vote at around 90% with the President and along republican party lines. I was going to vote for John McCain until I heard this debate last night. Obama is at least consistent in his message. I do not think McCain has a CLUE what he would do as president. His demeanor reminds me of Bush...CLUELESS!!

I would ask McCain how he plans on lowering taxes while keeping soldiers in Iraq and spending billions on military funds. A man calling himself fiscally conservative and still supporting the war in Iraq is a liar. It disgusts me how much support McCain gets from our region.

I would ask Senator McCain why he threw the election irrevocably to the "most liberal senator" by having such a convoluted, inconsistent message. Spend another $300 billion on this subprime mess? He suspended his campaign to go to Washington, only to vote for a bill even more bloated and loaded with his hated pork than imaginable. Be ready friends.. Our great country is in trouble...which ever one of these approval-seeking hounds wins. I'm still voting McCain for his stances on defense and judicial activism, but I'll have to take a dose of Pepto first.
