KINGSTON, Okla. -- Pointe Vista developers and the Oak Ridge housing addition have finally reached a settlement after several months of disputes.

Pointe Vista is the multi-million dollar company taking over the old Lake Texoma Lodge. As part of that deal, they are buying a lot of property around that area, including some into the Oak Ridge housing addition.

In a statement released Friday, the settlement states that an Oak Ridge property owner can have one vote for each lot that they own. It also puts limitations on Pointe Vista's ability to use its voting rights to amend certain bylaws for a period of time.

For anyone backing Pointe Vista, check out how they got a settlement with Oak Ridge, check out how much they wanted to raise the fees for the next ten years. Check out how they now have total control over Oak Ridge, now all the one's backing them will find out where they stand, I bet they get rolled over the same as the rest of Marshall county. Oak Ridge only has one hope now,(If the, fat cats of Point Vista no longer have the money they say they have) Yes its been said Mark, old man, as CEO your running on paper only "NO CASH" So sad for Oak Ridge, this was not out, when you pushed the Board into the so called settlement. Anyone that can't see how this all came about, is not to smart. Gumm you sold Marshall County out from the start, and please don't call it change, most of us know its a "Sell Out"

The people of Marshall County better wake up. Pointe Vista is taking over. They have the money, power and all the Oklahoma City politicians in their pockets. This shows they will get what they want, no matter who they have to step on to do it. Sad day for the people of Oak Ridge. They obviously got to the people on the board ... who's next???

It will be interesting to see the "limitations" and the effect this settlement has on the annual fees for Oak Ridge homeowners. It seems like Point Vista is continuing to try to get control of as much land as possible, regardless of the consequences.
