POTTSBORO, Tex. -- Some people in Grayson County hit the greens for a good cause, participating in the Third Annual Guardian Angel Golf Scramble at the Tanglewood Golf Course sponsored by the Children's Advocacy Center.

The event is a fun way to raise money for the non-profit organization, allowing the agency to continue helping break the cycle of child abuse.

"We’re doing great. We've had a lot of people be generous in their donations, and we've improved every year in terms of the support from the community. I think that we feel very grateful for all the help that people have given us," Jim Harrison of the Children's Advocacy Center said.

It didn't take long to reach their goal, nearly hitting the $25,000 mark early this morning.
