6-17-06 – A former Pontotoc County Sheriff is getting extra help from the community after he was diagnosed with a brain tumor two months ago. Jeff Glase served as sheriff for 12 years. He retired in January of 2005.
Glase said a few months ago, he started to lose vision in one eye and suffered seizures. A diagnosis confirmed his fears. Fifty three year old Glase has been to several doctors and is undergoing treatment.
Saturday, the Pontotoc County Clerk’s office helped organize a citywide garage sale in Ada to raise money for the Glase family. The even raised $1,300 dollars.
The Fraternal Order of Police has also held fundraiser for the family.
