Burn Ban Enacted, Fireworks Spared

6-19-06 - On Monday, Grayson County Commissioners officially approved a burn ban throughout the entire county for 90 days.

This means that there can be no outdoor burning in unincorporated areas, except for outdoor grilling. The ban is still in place for fireworks like missiles that have fins or rockets on sticks.

Commissioners said they plan to review the drought conditions weekly.

So far, Grayson joins both Collin and Cooke counties on the burn ban list.
