Arrest Made in Bokchito Bank Heist

6-21-06 - The FBI arrested a 25-year-old man for this week's robbery of the 1st United Bank in Bokchito.

The FBI says based on a tip, Jack Dalay Lawson was identified as a suspect. He was arrested without incident Tuesday night at approximately 8:00 p.m. by the FBI and Bryan County Sheriff’s Office at his residence in the community of Albany in Bryan County.

He is being held on State Armed Robbery charges. Lawson faces Federal charges related to the bank robbery.

The investigation is being conducted by the FBI, Bryan County Sheriff’s Office, Bokchito Police Department, OSBI and Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Several employees were in the bank at the time, although no customers were present. No one was injured.

He was armed with what appeared to be a black semi-automatic pistol. Agents say he gathered the money and was seen entering and fleeing in a red newer model extended cab Ford Ranger.
