6-25-06 – Twelve fire departments battled a grass fire in Love County, four miles east of Marietta on Highway 32. The fire was close to one home and some storage buildings on the south-side of the highway on Sunday afternoon. The fire was reported around 5:15 p.m.
Firefighters says the fire may have started as a car fire.
The fire was near a neighborhood near Love’s Valley. Firefighters had several trucks on the scene monitoring the blaze. They were able to contain the blaze within an hour.
No injuries have been reported.
