SHERMAN, Tex. ― She has a story that is truly out of this world. NASA astronaut Stephanie Wilson talked about her experiences at Austin College in Sherman on Wednesday.
The lecture was open to the public, and a large crowd turned out to hear about Wilson’s journey to become an astronaut, her training at NASA, as well as the two shuttle missions she took part in.
Wilson says the key to becoming an astronaut is education.
“Study hard, especially in the fields of math, science, and engineering, or the medical field, do your best always, and pursue your dreams," Wilson told the group.
Astronaut Wilson has spent more than 28 days living and working in space.
