Flash Flood Watches are posted through Monday morning for all of Texoma. The most concentrated rainfall is expected Saturday night into Sunday. Please be alert to floodwaters, washed out roads and rising creeks.
7-2-06 – A pursuit in Marshall County Saturday night ended with a crash. The crash happened at 9:18 p.m. on SH 199, just east of Madill. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 40-year-old Jason Brown of Madill was taken to Marshall Memorial Hospital then transferred to OU Medical Center in serious condition.
Troopers say Brown crashed while being pursued by a Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputy. The car Brown was driving was eastbound on the highway when it ran off the road, traveled 160 feet, struck a ditch, went through a fence and then traveled another 180 feet.
A 33-year-old female passenger in the car was taken to Marshall Memorial Hospital with possible head and neck injuries. She was treated and released.
According to troopers Brown was not wearing a seatbelt and alcohol was a factor.
