Slight risk today for severe thunderstorm to develop where primary threats are hail up to golf ball size and winds up to 70mph. Time frame for these storms to possible pop up look to be around 4-5pm and will continue through the night.
7-5-06 - One woman was injured on Lake Texoma Tuesday night as a storm rolled across the lake. Virginia Clark of Ardmore was a passenger in a boat that hit a large wave.
The accident happened just after 8:30pm, 100 yards north east of
Catfish Bay in Marshall county. The lake patrol says a 2006 24.5 foot Chaprell operated by Christy Jaresh of Denison hit the wave, which caused Clark and another occupant to be thrown off their feet. The other injured person was treated and released at a local hospital. Clark, 51, was transported to a Madill hospital and then transferred to
Midwest City with back injuries. She is listed in good condition.
