As this first round of storms sweep through, flash flooding is possible as we have watches in effect since heavy rainfall is expected. These storms are on the strong side, but severe threat will be more towards later this afternoon into the night as they could become severe out west.
7-22-06 – A pedestrian was flown to an Oklahoma City Hospital Saturday morning after the woman was struck by a car on Cherry Road in Davis.
The incident happened at 11:45 a.m. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 41-year-old Karen Gay Sosebee was walking west on the south edge of Cherry Road when a westbound car crossed into the eastbound lane, striking Sosebee.
Sosebee was transported to the Davis Airport by ambulance and then flown to OU Medical Center in serious condition.
The driver of the car, Alysia Schmidt of Sulphur, was not hurt.
