07-28-06 - A private school in Gainesville was the target of apparent vandals overnight.
Eggshells and soda cans littered the streets and spray paint could be seen on St. Mary’s Catholic School on the 900 block of North Weaver on Friday morning.
Residents say they were disturbed, because racial slurs were spray painted all over the neighborhood.
Gainesville police say they normally don't have any problems in the area, and it's been awhile since they've seen this much graffiti.
Right now, police say they have no leads, but think it was probably some teenagers, trying to cause trouble.
The St. Mary's School and church had a problem weeks earlier, when one of their school busses was tagged by a vandal. Police are still investigating that case.
