A combination of very strong winds, falling temperatures and frozen precipitation will make Wednesday and Wednesday night dangerous for motorists. Freezing rain and sleet will change to snow before ending late Wednesday or early Thursday. Wind chills of 5 to 10 degrees...with air temperatures in the low 20s...can be expected. Roads will be icy Thursday morning but should melt during the day as skies clear and temperatures rise above freezing.
08-01-06 – Deputies in Northern Grayson County are investigating a major drug bust. Deputies say they had received complaints of chemical odors coming from a home on Oxford Street in Sherwood Shores. Authorities searched the home Tuesday morning and found drugs and a meth lab.
Two people have been arrested and two children were placed in the custody of Child Protective Services. Deputies say a 6 year old child was found sleeping just feet from where the meth was being cooked.
