08-02-06 - A Bryan County inmate is causing more trouble at the jail.
Michael Edelen escaped from the Bryan County auxiliary jail back in May and was caught four days later in Florida.
Tuesday night, a deputy caught him chipping away at the mortar around a cinderblock wall, but he didn't get very far.
No attempted escape charges have been filed in this case and the Sheriff says Edelen would not have been able to make it through the steel re-enforced wall in the main jail.
Edelen also used a lighter to try and melt a plexi-glass window. Authorities are not saying how he got the lighter into the jail.
