Heartland Flyer Delays Begin August 14th

08-11-06 - Heartland Flyer passengers traveling between Oklahoma City and Fort Worth can expect a one-hour delay in departures beginning August 14.

The trains departing from Oklahoma City, Fort Worth and points between, will switch to a temporary schedule, set to be effective through the end of August, due to track work and repair near Gainesville, Texas.

Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway officials announced the closures
resulting in the delayed schedule.

The temporary schedule will replace the existing arrival and departure schedule that appears in Amtrak's Spring-Fall 2006 System Timetable. The schedule for each of the trains is listed below for the convenience of travelers on the Heartland Flyer system.

Amtrak and BNSF do not expect additional routes to be effected.
